Microsoft Teams: New in-meeting toggle lets organisers and presenters turn Meeting AI on or off during live meetings

Licensed meeting organisers and presenters can now toggle Copilot, Facilitator, and meeting recap on or off during a live meeting. An AI status indicator shows all participants whether Meeting AI is active. Key behaviour to communicate starting transcription automatically enables Meeting AI and recap meetings that must avoid AI should not use transcription.

Microsoft 365 Copilot: "Prepare for Questions" skill analyses presentations and anticipates audience questions in PowerPoint

Microsoft Outlook: External email tag can now be used as an Inbox Rule condition

Microsoft Teams: Slash commands now available to invoke app functionality directly from the compose box

Viva Glint: Admins can replace the default confidentiality statement with custom survey messaging

Microsoft Purview: Data Security Posture Management agent reaches general availability

Microsoft Purview: DSI proactive AI insights now surface automatically within DSPM exfiltration alerts

Microsoft 365: Admins gain granular control over which HR attributes are shared across M365 Profile and Viva apps

Tenant admins using MODIS can now control which public organisational attributes are shared with Microsoft 365 Profile and which are shared only with specific Viva apps such as Insights and Glint. Microsoft Copilot Studio: Classic agent creation in Teams retires 30 June 2026 move to web app now

Creating classic style agents via the Copilot Studio app in Microsoft Teams will stop working on 30 June 2026. The web app has been the alternative since April 2026 and will become the only creation path. Existing agents continue to function without interruption. SharePoint Online: Agent discovery changes as approved agents move out of the agent picker

Approved custom agents will no longer appear in the SharePoint agent picker. Site owners must now surface agents directly on pages using the Agent Link, Editorial Card, or Text web parts for users to find them. The ready-made site agent remains the default for new sites. Outlook on the web: New setting available to migrate DLP evaluation from Exchange to Data Classification Services

A new organisation-level setting (DlpViaDcsEnabled) lets admins switch Outlook on the web from Exchange-based DLP evaluation to Data Classification Services-based evaluation, unlocking improved oversharing policy tips and "Wait to send" functionality. Off by default Exchange-based DLP continues unless explicitly changed. Orgs planning to migrate must review existing DLP policies first, as some Exchange-based predicates are not supported under DCS and affected policies may stop working as expected.
